Week 5 Post 3

Trip to Machine Lab
Last week we had glued the wooden support beams into a base wooden plank using wood glue. However, it seemed to not hold on to well. After a couple trips to school and back home, it eventually started to wear off and it just does not seem like a viable method of attaching the wood. A lot of the times, the wood is still perfectly glued to the surface but the surface would scrape off due to the tension and the piece basically separated from the base.

We decided now that it would be best if we just screwed the two beams rather than using the glue. So, we went to machine lab and used an electric screw driver to piece them together. Now it seems much more stable than what it was previously.
