After all the pieces of the case was died, we noticed that it was not fitting that well onto the PVC pipe. It appears that only the top portion of it was setting it off so we decided to rip it off, cut it to become a bit shorter, and re-glue it back on. We also decided redo the top piece's curve so that it would be smoother for us to attach to the PVC pipe. Afterwards, it seems to fit perfectly with the PVC pipe.
We now tried to see if this could easily attach to the PVC pipe. We were sure wood glue wouldn't work since it was on a PVC pipe but wondered if the hot glue gun would work. However, it seemed like the glue seems to have very little effect on the PVC pipe material. So, we decided that next week we would go out and buy some epoxy to attach it more easily since epoxy is a really strong glue. We do not plan on only using epoxy for this. We are also considering using epoxy to attach the PVC pipe to the opening of the tank.
